Groms up to bat - Interview with Brendan Schneeberger

I just sat down with my shred buddy Brendan Schneeberger, aka "Schne" and fired some questions his way. This kid just turned 12 years old and everything from Downhill, Dirtjumps, street, you name it-he kills it. We've been riding together for a while and he definitely needs to be recognized as a solid local rider. This kid is top notch both on and off the bike. He also has some pretty mad skills behind the lens.
Here is what he had to say:
Your name and location:
-Full name:Brendan Isaac Schneeberger and I live in Chilliwack.
What is your Pinkbike Profile name?
-Schne
Age:
-too young. I'm 12.
How long have you been riding?
-I came out of the womb on wheels. But Mountain biking and dirtjumping for 2 years now.
If I lived in Chilliwack where would I expect to see you riding?
-Probably Riding street, or the Skatepark, or on Little Mountain building/riding-you could say Little Mountain is my back yard.
How long have you been trail building/trying to maintain trails on Little?
-For as long as I've been riding-2 years. I learned from the get go that you have to maintain in order to always enjoy the jumps and trails.
What's your favorite thing on your bike?
-My grips are so steezy. And my Pinkbike bar end caps are pretty wild too!
What do you do in Winter?
-Freeskiing!
How's that going for you this year?
So SICK, just landed my first back flip a few weeks ago. I'm injured now because I tried a cork 720 and was so close but took it to the shoulder on the landing.
What camera are you currently using?
-Pentax K100D, me and Mike(you) both have the same camera and it's WICKED! Look for new shots coming this summer, it's going to be off the hook.
Who do you normally ride with?
-(you)Mike Dekoning, for dirtjumps and DH and Andrew Kornelsen for street and park.
If you could live anywhere else, where would it be and why?
-Whistler. Best Skiing and Biking anywhere in the world.
Are you currently working on any trails?
-Yes, but that's specified information. It's going to be sweet when it's finished.
What are your goals for 2008?
-Get my 360s dialed, and try some back flips. Oh, and nice big No Foot Cans are going to get dialed in too.
So I took all the footage I had of Brendan over the last 2 years and tried to make a quick video. It's kinda old, and it doesn't show just how good he is, but here you go. Make sure to check out all the shots at the end.
Here some shots I've got of this kid over the years:
Increasing his bag of tricks:
He currently rides a pimped out Brodie Heathen. Look this kid up.
This guy has got some good skills on a bicycle and will no doubt keep moving up in biking.
Hope you enjoyed it.

I see this and am so frustrated. Way to go kid. You are a nutcase. I quit biking. I'm taking up golf.
he doenst do any tricks in that video?? and that picture says bag off tricks he doesnt do anything but table and whip real nice
He can do backflips, corked 7's, no foot cans yet all I see in the video is the same stuff I was doing 12, tables over jumps, and thats it, show a recent vid if he is really that good?
Read the article and he talks about back flips and corked 7's on SKIs, not his bike. The text above the video states it's old footage as they mostly shoot stills.
Anyone with the name Brendan is an instant bad ass (myself included
This kid shreds. I wish I was hittin senders like that at his age. Props to Brendan for killin it. Hes going to go far in his biking career.

i dont see how age makes u agood biker...im 16 and ive been riding for 2 years now i can match his skills...its all about how long u have been riding for...if he was younger then 12 i would say difrent
well i think at 12,the difference in muscle mass etc is alot,so hes got alot of building up to do, so really there is no comparison! big difference starting at 10 than 14!

are you sure? or are you just basing it on the old vid. is your bro trying corked 720's for example? fp if he is...get some pics and all praise be upon him.
man, i wish i had someone to film me, me and this kid are similar as far as riding goes. Sick video by the way
fair play mate. i get sick of wannabes bitching that its all down to mummy and daddy paying, because they can't be arsed to get a job themselves... look forward to seeing you in some more vids.

Exactly. We mostly shoot Stills. Like Brule said.
That video is old footage I just threw together, its old.
Most 11 year olds and 12 year olds are still learning to wheelie. Not pulling flattys off 30 footers.
